Medicare part D
At this time of year many Medicare part D patients fall into the "donut hole". It is too late to do anything about this for this year but enrollment for next year started Nov. 15.It is time to make changes now if you are not statisfied with your plan. Look for a plan that covers the drugs your are taking and try to use as many generics as possible. Look for a plan than covers generic drugs even in the "donut hole". Medicare has an "extra help" program for patients meeting certain financial criteria. See the website www.ssa.gov/prescriptionhelp. There are also assistance programs outside Medicare through state and federal programs and some drug companies. There is no need to not do without the medicines you need.

MRSA
recently there have been some very big news stories appearing across the nation regarding msra(methicillin resistant staphylcoccus aureus).schools have shut down and some children
have died.the common theme of virtually all news stories is- prevention is the key.Staphaseptic
is an over-the-counter wound treatment that contains no antibiotics but that has been shown
to be 99.42% effective in killing MRSA bacteria.MRSA has grown resistant to standard antibiotics and does not respond to topical triple antibiotic preparations.try it on cuts, scraps, and burns.

statin pain
if you are currently taking a statin drug zocor, simvastin, crestor, lipitor, etc. and are experiencing
joint pain, try taking the supplement-co-q-10-available in the vitamin/mineral supplement
section at your local pharmacy.this usually stops or greatly improves the joint pain and thus
allows you to continue taking your cholesterol lowering medications without the painful side
effects.
